Outreach Ideas

  • Presentations​ - ​Give a presentation on what you know to your community (faith orgs, scouts, school) 
  • Talk Climate and Environental Justice​ - Share what you’ve learned with your friends and family. ​
  • Social Media​ - Create PSA videos or content to share what you know on
  • Art for Outreach​ - Create art, film, a play, or music that shines a light or educates on a climate or environmental justice issue​
  • Op-Ed or Letter to the Editor - Write a letter or op-ed on a topic you want to share with the public.​ Submit your opinion to The Chronicle.
  • Contact Media​ - Share what  you know with journalists, TV, newspapers, Radio, magazines, etc…​

Impact Policy Ideas

  • Voting​  - ​Register and vote. ​
  • Encourage/Help others Vote​ - Voter registration and voter drives. Call, text, send letters/postcards, door knock.  Volunteer to help at a polling location or be a poll observer.  ​
  • Contact Government Officials​ - Send a letter, postcard, call, or email government officials to influence policy.​ Find and contact your reps.
  • Canvassing​ - Door knock, text, or call voters to canvas for a campaign.​
  • Attend Lobby Days - Meet with elected officials on selected Lobby Days to discuss policy. ​
  • Testify​ - Speak or write testimony for or against policy, or neutral to share your knowledge.​ Testify to the Washington State Legislature.

  • Be the Leader​ - Run for political office.​

  • Community Organizations​ - Volunteer at community organizations (food pantry, community garden, church, temple, equity and justice orgs)​
  • Participate​ - Take part in a fundraising event, run, walk, derby, etc…​
  • Donation Drives - Collect, donate, or help organize drives for food, clothes, or goods. ​
  • Advise an Organization - Advise or join the board of an organization. ​
  • Donate your creativity​ - ​Create art, film, a play, or music for an organization. ​
  • Fundraising​ - ​Raise funds for a cause or campaign.​

  • Organize​ - ​Join or help organize a protest​
