Getting Started with Library Research: > Activity: Keyword Development

In this activity, you will be developing keywords for your topic.

HINT: This activity will produce information that you will use in the quiz and in subsequent activities in this module.

On a separate piece of paper, or in an electronic document:

1. Write down your research question or topic,
2. Identify initial keywords in your research question (circle them, underline them, highlight them, etc.)
3. Create a list of related keywords for each initial keyword.  Think of synonyms, specific examples, related ideas, and/or broader concepts.
